PAGASA issues storm surge warning in 10 Luzon provinces for Oct.3


A storm surge warning was issued for parts of Luzon by PAGASA on early Friday morning.

In its 2:00 a.m. weather advisory on October 3, 2025, the state weather bureau said  a moxerate to high risk of storm surge may occur within the next 24 hours.

“There is a possibility of inundation due to rising sea water along with high waves in the low-lying coastal communities in the following provinces/municipalities:

Estimated storm surge heights: 2.1-3 meters

  • Aurora
  • Cagayan
  • Isabela  
Estimated storm surge heights: 1-2 meters
  • Aurora
  • Ilocos Norte
  • Ilocos Sur
  • La Union
  • Pangasinan
  • Quezon
  • Zambales

PAGASA urged the public to:  

  • Stay away from the coast or beach
  • Cancel all marine activities
  • Be aware and follow latest updates from DOST-PAGASA

"The public and the disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and precautionary measures, and watch for the next storm surge information to be issued at 8:00 AM today," the agency said..  —RF, GMA Integrated News
