Tropical Storm Quedan slows down, about to exit PAR

Tropical Storm Quedan has decelerated as it is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) either on Thursday night or early Friday morning, the state weather bureau PAGASA said.

According to the 11 p.m. weather bulletin, the center of Quedan was monitored 1,345 kilometers east northeast of extreme northern Luzon. It packs maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour near the center, and gustiness of up to 90 kilometers per hour.

It is moving northwestward at 15 kilometers per hour.

Meanwhile, the low pressure area, LPA10c, that was being monitored inside the PAR has already dissipated. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
