Parts of Visayas, Mindanao to experience cloudy skies, rains due to ITCZ

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies and rains over parts of Visayas and Mindanao, according to the state weather bureau PAGASA on Tuesday.

The 24-hour weather forecast, issued at 4 p.m., states that the Negros Island Region, Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, SOCSSKARGEN, BARMM, and Davao Region will experience cloudy skies along with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

The Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Aurora, and Quezon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Batanes will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Northeasterly Windflow.

Localized thunderstorms will occur over the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, a low pressure area was monitored 435 km north northeast of Itbayat, Batanes at 2 p.m, but it has no impact so far on the local weather.

Winds will be strong and coastal waters will be rough in Extreme Northern Luzon.

Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are expected for the rest of the country.
