NLEX ADVISORY: Libtong Exit closed due to flood; heavy traffic in 5 locations (Monday, 10 p.m.)

Following continuous heavy rain brought by the Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat, portions of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) were flooded, causing traffic.

According to an advisory from NLEX Corporation, here are the road and traffic conditions along the highway as of 10 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2026:

Northbound

• Valenzuela - Light traffic
• Meycauayan - Light traffic
• Libtong Exit -Temporarily closed due to flooding at the local road
• Candaba Viaduct - Heavy traffic
• Tulaoc (San Simon) - Heavy traffic
• San Simon Interchange -Heavy traffic

Southbound

• Balintawak - Light traffic
• Valenzuela - Light traffic
• Meycauayan - Light traffic
• Bocaue -Light traffic
• Tulaoc (San Simon) - Heavy traffic
• San Simon Interchange - Heavy traffic
• Mexico Exit - Light Traffic

Northbound motorists who wish to return Southbound may use the U-turn slots before Tulaoc.
