No work in all courts on Dec. 26, Jan. 2

The Supreme Court has canceled work in all courts nationwide on December 26 and January 2.

The work suspension will "allow the officials and personnel of the judiciary full opportunity to celebrate the holidays with their families," the court's Public Information Office announced on Wednesday.

Malacañang earlier canceled work on January 2 in government offices under the executive branch and in state universities and colleges.

Heads of other branches of government, independent commissions or bodies, and private companies have the discretion to suspend work on the day after New Year's Day, a regular holiday, the Palace said. — Nicole-Anne C. Lagrimas/RSJ, GMA News
