LIST: Canceled sea trips on Aug. 31, 2026 due to Habagat

Several trips by sea vessels were cancelled on Monday due to inclement weather caused by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

In a social media post, the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) said the following trips were cancelled as of 12 noon., August 31, 2026:

Batangas

• Island Water bound for Abra de Ilog (due to vessel technical concerns)

Masbate

• Montenegro Shipping Lines, Inc. (All Fastcraft): Masbate City - Pilar, Sorsogon, V.V.
• Starhorse Shipping Lines Inc.: Pasacao, Camarines Sur - San Pascual, Masbate - San Andres, Quezon

Mindoro

• Port of Puerto Galera: MV CITY OF BACOLOD, 12:30 PM, Puerto Galera to Batangas
• Port of Abra De Ilog: MV ISLA SIMARA, Abra De Ilog to Batangas
• Port of San Jose: MV MA. CRISTINA 1, San Jose to Semirara
• Port of San Jose: MV SAINT AUGUSTINE DE UBON, San Jose to Semirara

The PPA noted that it does not cancel trips.

“If PCG (Philippine Coast Guard) issues a no-sail policy, trips are automatically cancelled because ships are not allowed to sail,” it added.

It further said that shipping lines may also cancel trips subject to compliance with Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) regulations.
