Several trips by sea vessels were canceled on Tuesday due to inclement weather caused by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
In a social media post, the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) said the following trips were cancelled as of 8 a.m., September 1, 2026:
Bicol
- TMO Camarines: Starhorse Shipping Lines, Inc. (MV "Virgen de Peñafrancia Uno"), San Pascual, Burias Island, Masbate - Pasacao, Camarines Sur
Masbate
- Montenegro Shipping Lines, Inc. (All Fastcraft): Masbate City - Pilar, Sorsogon, V.V.
The PPA noted that it does not cancel trips.
“If PCG (Philippine Coast Guard) issues a no-sail policy, trips are automatically cancelled because ships are not allowed to sail,” it added.
It further said that shipping lines may also cancel trips subject to compliance with Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) regulations.
