LIST: Road closures in Manila, QC for Bar Exams 2026

Some roads in Manila and Quezon City will be temporarily closed for the 2026 Bar Examinations this September, according to the Supreme Court (SC).

The exam will be conducted on three days — September 6, 9, and 13.

Motorists and commuters were advised to plan their trips and use alternative routes if possible.

Below are the road closures around testing venues, as announced by the SC:

Manila

Road closures around San Beda University:

From 2 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sept. 6, 9, and 13, 2026:

• Mendiola Street from the Peace Arch up to Concepcion Aguila Street
• Concepcion Aguila Street from Mendiola Street up to Jose P. Laurel Street
• Legarda Street (partial) from San Rafael Street up to Mendiola Street (eastbound only)

Road closures and traffic management around University of Sto. Tomas:

Dapitan Street - full closure from Lacson Ave. to P. Noval Street on Sept. 6, 9, and 13 from 2 a.m. to 7 p.m.

España Boulevard - assisted traffic management on two westbound lanes from Gate 2 of University of Sto. Tomas to P. Noval Street on Sept. 6 and 9 from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and on Sept. 13: from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m.

España Boulevard - full closure of all westbound lanes from Lacson Ave. to P. Noval Street on Sept. 13: from 3 to 7 p.m.

Road closures around Manila Adventist College

Portion of San Juan Street, between Leveriza St. and Donada St. (from 3 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 6, 9, and 13)

Portion of Donada Street, between Buendia Avenue and San Juan St. (from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 13)

Quezon City

No road closures around New Era University:

Central Avenue - no parking from 2 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Central Avenue - no U-turn along Central Avenue from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m., and from 2 to 7 p.m.

Examinee vehicular traffic along outer lanes of Central Avenue and normal vehicular traffic along inner lanes of Central Avenue from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Muntinlupa City

No road closures around San Beda College Alabang.

Taguig City

No road closures or re-routing in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) and within the vicinity of the University of the Philippines - BGC.

However, medium to heavy volume of vehicles is expected from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. —with Lyjah Tiffany Bonzo/KG/VBL, GMA News
