MRT-3 suffers 4 technical problems; Passengers unloaded at Santolan

Passengers were unloaded at the Santalon Anapolis station in Quezon City after the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) suffered a technical problem, one of four that have been encountered within the day.

The Department of Transportation said the latest of the four technical problems happened at 3:16 p.m., forcing passengers to be unloaded at the Santolan Anapolis station.

The problem was classified as Category 3, meaning the train was removed without a replacement or there was a cancellation of loops and insertion.

The MRT 3 also encountered three technical problems earlier:

  • Buendia North Bound, 7:22 a.m.
  • Cubao South Bound, 8:55 a.m.
  • Ayala North Bound, 1:30 p.m.

Train passengers were also forced to disembark. — Anna Felicia Bajo/MDM, GMA News
