2Go warns of delays after coast guard issues hold order on ships passing Cagayan De Oro, Zamboanga


Passengers of logistics and travel company 2GO Travel may expect delays in their trips, as the Coast Guard of the Philippines has issued a hold departure order for all vessels passing Cagayan de Oro and Zamboanga.

"Due to [Tropical Storm] Vinta, coast guard stations in Zamboanga and Cagayan de Oro have issued hold departure orders for all vessels," it said in an advisory.

"We are issuing an advisory to pre-warn our passengers about the potential delay in schedule given the HDO and inclement weather," it added.

This comes as Vinta is expected to hit land late Thursday evening or early Friday morning in the Surigao-Davao Oriental area.

As of 11 a.m., Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 2 has been raised over Davao Oriental, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sure, Agusan del Norte, and Agusan del Sur.

Meanwhile, Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 has been hoisted over the following: Southern Leyte, southern portion of Leyte, Southern Cebu, Siquijor, and Bohol,Dinagat Island, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, North Cotabato, Maguindanao, Rest of Davao Oriental, Northern Davao del Sur, Compostela Valley, Davao del Norte, and Zamboanga del Sur. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/NB, GMA News
