Cebu Pacific cancels Osaka flights for Thursday, Sept. 6


Cebu Pacific is canceling flights to and from Osaka, Japan for Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018 due to inclement weather brought by Typhoon Jebi.

In an advisory, Cebu Pacific said operations at the Kansai International Airport are suspended until further notice due to the damage caused by Jebi.

The following Cebu Pacific flights tomorrow are canceled:

  • 5J 828: Manila-Osaka (ETD: 2:55 p.m., ETA: 08:10 p.m.)
  • 5J 827: Osaka-Manila (ETD: 09:15 p.m., ETA: 12:25 a.m.)

Passengers of affected by the cancellation were notified to either rebook flights for travel within 30 days from original date of departure, or reroute to Narita (Tokyo) or Nagoya—subject to seat availability—or convert their ticket to a travel fund for future use, or ret a full refund.

“Affected passengers may rebook, reroute or refund their flight free-of-charge through the ‘Manage Booking’ section of the Cebu Pacific website,” it said.

The airline said flights to and from Osaka in the next few days may still be affected by stormy weather and the situation at Kansai International Airport.
