Some Taguig roads to be closed for Metro Manila Film Fest Parade of Stars

Motorists were advised to plan their trips and avoid major roads in Taguig City on Sunday, December 22, 2019, due to the Metro Manila Film Festival's Parade of Stars.

The said parade, which will feature floats carrying celebrities whose movies are part of the MMFF, will start at 12 noon from the Lakeshore C-6.

The route of the parade is as follows:

• Lakeshore C-6
• right turn to M.L Quezon Avenue
• left turn to MRT Avenue
• right turn Cuasay
• right turn to CP Garcia (C-5) Service Road
• left turn to Upper Mckinley Road
• right turn to Lawton Avenue – 5thStreet
• right turn again to Mckinley Parkway
• left turn to 32nd Street
• left turn to 7th Avenue
• right to 26th Avenue
• left turn to 5th Avenue
• right turn to LeGrand Avenue and Chateau Road.

The MMDA said the following roads will be temporarily closed for the parade:

• ML Quezon (from Dr. A. Santos to MRT)
• along MRT (from M.L Quezon to Cuasay)
• along Cuasay (from MRT to C-5)
• C-5 Service Road cor. Cayetano Boulevard.

Counterflow will be allowed on the following roads:

• Upper Mckinley Road from C-5 to Lawton Ave.
• Lawton – 5th Street from Upper Mckinley to Mckinley Parkway
• along 32nd Avenue (from Mckinley Parkway to 7th Avenue).

The MMDA will implement stop and go traffic scheme on the following roads:

• C-5 - Upper Mckinley
• C-5 Service Road – Sampaguita bridge
• Mckinley Parkway – 26th Avenue.

The MMDA said it will open affected roads by 7 p.m.
