LRT, MRT schedules for Christmas holidays 2020
The country's main rail lines — the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT3), Light Rail Transit Lines 1 and 2 (LRT1 & LRT2) — are set to implement shortened operating hours this December in line with the Christmas holidays.
Below is a list of the schedules of the three major railways:
LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT LINE 1 (LRT1)
September 5 - December 28, 2020
- First train - 4:30 a.m.
- Last train from Baclaran: 10 p.m. Mondays to Fridays; 9:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays (except Dec. 24)
- Last train from Balintawak: 10:15 p.m. Mondays to Fridays; 9:45 p.m. on weekends and holidays (except Dec. 24)
December 24
- Last train: 8 p.m. both northbound and southbound
December 31
- Last train: 7 p.m. both northbound and southbound
LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT LINE 2 (LRT2)
December 24
- Last train at 8 p.m.
December 31
- Last train at 7:30 p.m.
"We will shorten our operating hours on Dec. 24 and 31, 2020 in anticipation of a significant decline in ridership and to allow our station/security personnel to celebrate Christmas & New Year's Eve with their families," it said.
Regular train service operations will be observed on December 25 and December 30.
