LRT2 resumes normal ops after signaling system problem

The Light Rail Transit Authority on Monday announced that the Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT2) resumed normal operations.

"LRT2 Code Red status is now lifted," LRTA said in a tweet posted at 5:06 a.m.

"LRT2 resumes operations from Antipolo Station to Recto Station and vice versa," it added in a tweet posted at 5:13 a.m.

The LRT2 temporarily halted operations at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday due to a problem with its signaling system.

At 11:33 a.m. Sunday, the LRTA said its engineering and maintenance personnel as well as its contractor Seimens were working on the problem. —KG, GMA News
