Cebu Pacific announces more canceled flights due to Odette

Budget airline Cebu Pacific announced on Sunday it has canceled some flights in the aftermath of Typhoon Odette (international name: Rai).

The flights were canceled due to operational limitations as a result of the damage caused by Odette.

The following flights scheduled on December 20, 2021 have been canceled:

  • 5J 635 / 5J 636 Manila – Puerto Princesa – Manila
  • 5J 637 / 5J 638 Manila – Puerto Princesa – Manila
  • 5J 647 / 5J 648 Manila – Puerto Princesa – Manila

The airline said it has already informed affected passengers of the flight cancellation.

Affected passengers may rebook their travel within 60 days at no additional cost, store the amount of the fare in a virtual CEB wallet, or opt for a refund which may take up to two months to process.

The airline earlier canceled some flights scheduled on December 18 and 19 due to a temporary suspension of operations at the Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) and assessment of damage at the Siargao Airport and Surigao Airport.

The MCIA resumed operations for domestic flights on Sunday. —KG, GMA News
