LRT, MRT revise transport service schedule for the holidays
Commuters who take the Light Rail Transit (LRT) and the Metro Rail Transit (MRT3) have been advised on Monday to plan their trips during the holidays with the implementation of revised train operation schedules.

The first trains will leave Baclaran Station and Balintawak Station at 4:30 a.m. The schedule for the last trips have been revised.
On December 24, the last trip from Baclaran Station will leave at 8 p.m. while the last train from Balintawak Station will leave at 8:15 p.m. from the previous 9:15 p.m. departure on regular weekends/holiday schedule.
The last trip from Baclaran Station on December 31 will leave at 7 p.m. and the last train from Balintawak Station will depart 7:15 p.m.
"LRT1 will continue to serve passengers on 25 December 2021 (Christmas Day), 30 December 2021 (Rizal Day), and 1 January 2022 (New Year’s Day) following the regular weekends/holiday schedule," LRMC announced.
"Roosevelt Station will remain temporarily closed until further notice to give way to the ongoing construction by the government of the Unified Grand Central Station (UGCS), which will connect the systems of LRT1, MRT3, and MRT7," the firm added.
For LRT2, the schedules are as follows:
December 24
Antipolo-Recto, vice-versa
5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
December 31
Antipolo-Recto, vice-versa
5 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
January 1, 2022
Antipolo station
6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Recto station
6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
MRT3 has also revised its schedule for Dec. 24, 25, 31, 2021, and January 1, 2022.
