Some roads in Ortigas Center, Pasig to be closed temporarily March 20 for rally

Some roads in Ortigas Center, Pasig City will be closed temporarily on Sunday, March 20, 2022, due to a political rally, according to a report by Luisito Santos on Super Radyo dzBB.

These include Emerald Avenue and F. Ortigas Road.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority issued an advisory on Saturday for motorists to take alternate routes due to the said event.

"A political rally will take place at the Ortigas Center in Pasig City tomorrow, March 20. Movement of participants is expected to start at 11am, while the activity is expected to finish by 8pm. Affected areas: Ortigas Ave., Emerald Ave., Meralco Avenue, EDSA-Ortigas Ave.#mmda," the MMDA said in a tweet.

"Motorists are advised to avoid the rally site and its surrounding areas; and take alternate routes to avoid inconvenience," it added.

Presidential candidate and incumbent Vice President Leni Robredo is scheduled to hold a people's rally on Emerald Avenue at 6:50 p.m., but pre-program will start at 3:30 p.m., according to her camp. —KG, GMA News
