LTO extends validity of registration of vehicles with plate numbers ending in 8, 9, 0

The Land Transportation Office extended the validity of the registration of some vehicles.

Those affected are vehicles with plate numbers ending in 8, 9, and 0.

Below are the extended validity of their registrations, according to LTO:

  • Vehicles with plate numbers ending in 8: up to September 30, 2022;
  • Vehicles with plate numbers ending in 9: up to October 31, 2022; and
  • Vehicles with plate numbers ending in 0: up to November 30, 2022.

The LTO earlier said it will meet with its information technology service providers to discuss delays in registrations and licensing.

At a public briefing, LTO National Capital Region director Clarence Guinto said the issue is the “priority concern” for LTO chief and Transportation Assistant Secretary Teofilo Guadiz III.

Guinto said LTO’s Land Transportation Management System portal was experiencing downtimes and glitches.

The LTO is in a transition period with its two IT service providers, Guinto said. —KG, GMA News
