DOTr extends MRT, LRT 1 and 2 operating hours for Dec.20-23

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Tuesday, announced extended operating hours for Metro Manila’s three light rail lines from December 20 to 23, 2023.

In an advisory shared via social media on Tuesday evening, Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista said that the extended trip hours were implemented for the benefit of the riding public during the Christmas season.

"Sa pagpunta ng mga tao sa mga party, reunion at iba pang gathering, ating ipalasap ang Christmas spirit na pagbibigay ng kasiyahan sa pamamagitan ng komportable, ligtas, at maaasahang transportasyon sa mga tren," said Bautista.

(As people attend parties, reunions and other gatherings, we’ll let them experience the Christmas spirit by giving them joy through comfortable, safe and reliable transportation via our trains)

The extended hours are as follows:

MRT-3

• Last trip from North Avenue Station: 10:30 p.m.
• Last trip from Taft Avenue Station: 11:05 p.m.

LRT-1

• Last trip from Baclaran Station: 10:45 p.m.
• Last trip from Fernando Poe Jr. Station: 11:00 p.m.

LRT-2

• Last trip from Antipolo Station: 10:00 p.m.
• Last trip from Recto Station: 10:30 p.m.
