DOTr: Traffic slowdown from Mar. 15-17 due to tunnel boring machine transport

Motorists were advised to expect traffic slowdown on some roads from Friday to Sunday due to the transportation of the Metro Manila Subway Project’s (MMSP) Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) from Port Area in Manila to Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.

In an advisory, the Department of Transportation said the following roads will be affected during the said dates:

• Port/ R-10 (between 9 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.)
• C3 Road (between 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.)
• 5th Avenue (between 10:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.)
• G. Araneta Avenue (between 12:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.)
• E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue (between 1:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.)
• Gilmore Avenue (between 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.)
• Col. Bonny Serrano Avenue (between 3:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.)

The public were advised to take alternate routes

The DOTr said the TBM will be used in the construction of the tunnels that shall connect MMSP’s Camp Aguinaldo Station and Ortigas Station.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
