NLEX advises motorists of lane closures in Sto. Tomas, Pampanga area

NLEX Corp., the operator of North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), on Saturday advised motorists of upcoming lane closures at the Sto. Tomas, Pampanga portion of the toll road due to the ongoing construction of a new interchange.

In an advisory, NLEX Corp. said the innermost lanes of the expressway's southbound and northbound sections in the area will be impassable "to give way to the construction of Sto. Tomas Interchange" by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

In particular, both the 500-meter portions of NLEX's leftmost lanes after Pau River bridge (northbound) and after San Matias Bridge (southbound) will be closed at the following schedules:

• April 21 - 10 p.m. to April 22 - 4 a.m.
• April 22 - 10 p.m. to April 23 - 4 a.m.
• April 23 - 10 p.m. to April 24 - 4 a.m.
• April 24 - 10 p.m. to April 25 - 4 a.m.

The Sto. Tomas Interchange is part of the Greater Pampanga Circumferential Road Masterplan and will serve as link to the future Lubao-Guagua-Minalin-Sto. Tomas (LGMST) Bypass Road project of the DPWH. — VDV, GMA Integrated News
