Canceled flights due to Middle East tensions
Several international flights have been canceled amid the escalating tensions in the Middle East due to the Israel-Iran conflict.
In an advisory, flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) said the following flights have been cancelled “due to the developing situation in the Middle East”:
June 24, 2025
- PR 684 Manila - Doha
- PR 658/659 Manila - Dubai - Manila
- PR 654/655 Manila - Riyadh - Manila
June 25, 2025
- PR 685 Doha - Manila
PAL advised passengers to regularly check the status of their flights or check further advisories on its official Facebook page.
“We advise you not to proceed to the airport if your flight is cancelled, but instead avail of the rebooking options below,” the airline said.
PAL said affected passengers have the following options:
- Rebook to another flight with available space within 60 days from the original flight, in the same booking class or higher within the same cabin class
- Convert your ticket to Travel Credits equivalent to the unused base fare of your ticket. Voucher validity is one year from the date of issuance
- Refund ticket without penalties, excluding Ticketing Service Charge.
Cebu Pacific
Budget carrier Cebu Pacific, meanwhile, said all its flights to and from Dubai will continue to operate as scheduled.
“Our route does not fly over conflict-affected areas in the Middle East, allowing us to operate safely. We continue to actively monitor the situation and will share further updates as necessary,” the carrier said.
The airline, however, acknowledged that some travelers may still have concerns, which is why it is offering flexible options such as free rebooking and Travel Fund conversion for those who booked Dubai flights scheduled on June 24, 2025.
“These options are available online up to two hours before the scheduled departure time,” Cebu Pacific said, adding that passengers were encouraged to regularly check their flight status. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
