Marilao Bridge westbound now open to Class 1, 2 vehicles
The NLEX Corporation on Saturday announced that Marilao Bridge westbound going to MacArthur Highway is now passable for Class 1 and 2 vehicles.
Meanwhile, a stop-and-go scheme is being implemented on Marilao Bridge eastbound going to San Jose Del Monte for Class 3 vehicles, the company said in a post on social media.
The Marilao Interchange Bridge was damaged after a truck on the northbound lane of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) hit it earlier this month.
A beam from the bridge fell, hitting the vehicle behind the truck and resulting in the death of a passenger and injuries of others.
The Marilao Bridge was closed for repair work. NLEX Corp. thereafter announced that major structural repairs were finished on June 23.
The four lanes of the NLEX Marilao northbound were thus opened on June 23. —KG, GMA Integrated News
