MRT-3 offers free rides for Nat'l ID holders

Passengers with National ID are eligible for free rides in Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) on Wednesdays in August. 

In a statement, the MRT-3 said the free rides are available from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on August 6, 13, 20, and 27.

“Maaaring iprisinta ang physical card, printed paper, o digital copy version ng National ID sa security personnel sa service gate ng mga istasyon upang makatanggap ng Libreng Sakay,” the MRT-3 said.

(They may present the physical card, printed paper, or digital copy version of their National ID to security personnel at the service gate of the stations to receive free rides.)

According to MRT-3, the move aims to promote the use of National ID for easy transactions in public and private sectors as well as for faster and inclusive delivery of social services. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
