Nat’l ID holders get free LRT-2 rides in August

Passengers with National IDs will get a free ride on the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) every Wednesday in August. 

The free ride will be available from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Passengers may avail of the free LRT-2 ride by presenting the physical card, printed paper, or digital copy of their National IDs to security personnel.

The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) earlier made the same announcement.

This move aims to promote the use of National IDs as proof of identity for prompt and better access to public services, the train operators said. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
