Issuance of concessionary beep cards resumes

The issuance of concessionary beep cards resumed on Monday, January 5 after it was suspended for two weeks due to system maintenance.
“Please be advised that the issuance of beep™ concessionary cards at train stations has resumed following the completion of essential system activities,” said beep card in a statement.
To recall, the issuance of the concessionary beep cards in train stations was suspended since December 22 last year.
The concessionary beep card grants a 50% discount to senior citizens, students, and persons with disabilities on their train fare.
Such cards are valid for four years from the date of issuance. However, students need to renew their cards every new school year. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/KG, GMA Integrated News
