Dizon has been inspecting parts of the Maharlika Highway these past two months in Quezon, Bicol, and Samar.
Long term rehabilitation of the highway, a major thoroughfare for goods and commuters in the country, will be undertaken by June or July with bidding for the project to begin in May, he added.
Holy Week this year will be in April, with Maundy Thursday (April 2) and Good Friday (April 3) being regular holidays.
April 4 (Black Saturday) meanwhile is a special non-working day. —KG, GMA Integrated News
