EDSA Guadalupe, other NCR roads undergo road reblocking
Part of EDSA, particularly in Barangay Guadalupe, Makati City, as well as a few other roads in the National Capital Region have been scheduled to undergo road reblocking and other works this weekend.
Three out of four lanes of EDSA Guadalupe southbound were closed to traffic from Friday night at 10 p.m. up to Monday at 5 a.m., according to a report by Christian Maño on Super Radyo dzBB on Saturday.

Traffic has been heavy since Friday night since only one lane is passable to motorists. On Saturday morning, the traffic tail-end was already at EDSA-Boni as of 6 a.m.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is conducting road reblocking and asphalt overlay on the affected lanes as part of the EDSA rehabilitation plan.
Meanwhile, the EDSA-Magallanes southbound flyover is undergoing retrofitting since Friday night, and only one lane out of two is passable to motorists.
The road work will be conducted by DPWH until Monday at 5 a.m.
Other roads
The DPWH is also conducting road reblocking, rotomilling, and asphalt overlay on the following roads starting 11 p.m. Friday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said:
- Quezon Avenue, EDSA Tunnel (outer lane), road reblocking and repairs until 5:00 a.m. of Monday, May 4;
- C-5 Katipunan Avenue (southbound), from UP Town Center to C.P. Garcia Avenue, rotomilling and asphalt overlay works every Friday at 11 p.m. until every Monday, starting May 1 until May 31; and
- E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, from Mariblo Bridge to G. Araneta Avenue, asphalt overlay works starting Friday, 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., starting May 1 until May 7.
"Motorists are advised to take alternate routes and allow extra travel time in the affected areas," the MMDA said. —KG, GMA News
