Class suspensions for Wednesday, April 3, 2024


Several schools and local government units suspended face-to-face classes on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, due to the hot weather.

The Department of Education said some schools are implementing an alternative delivery mode of learning to lessen the disruption of the weather conditions on the students.

Below are the class suspensions for Wednesday, April 3, 2024:

Region 1

  • Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan: no face-to-face classes from pre-school to high school (public and private) from April 2 to 5, 2024
  • Mapandan, Pangasinan: no face-to-face classes in all schools (public and private) on April 3, 2024
  • Manaoag, Pangasinan: no face-to-face classes from pre-school to senior high school (public and private) from April 3 to 4, 2024
  • Dagupan City, Pangasinan
  • San Fabian, Pangasinan

Region 3

  • San Fernando, Pampanga; no face-to-face classes at all levels (public and private)
  • Angeles City, Pampanga
  • Mabalacat City, Pampanga
  • Mexico, Pampanga
  • Bacolor, Pampanga
  • Sta. Ana, Pampanga
  • Floridablanca, Pampanga
  • Arayat, Pampanga
  • Masantol, Pampanga

Region 6

    • Banga: no face-to-face classes in the afternoon from primary to secondary level (public and private) from April 1 to 15, 2024
    • Polomolok: no face-to-face classes in the afternoon from primary to secondary level (public and private) from April 1 to 15, 2024
    • Tupi: no face-to-face classes in the afternoon from primary to secondary level (public and private) from April 3 to 12, 2024, except schools in Barangay Miasong and Kablon
    • Norala: afternoon classes only
  • Sarangani Province: no face-to-face classes at all levels (public and private) from April 3 to 19, 2024
  • Sultan Kudarat
  • Cotabato: Carmen Central District (afternoon classes only), Pres. Roxas North, Kabacan District
  • Koronadal City: Sto. Niño Elementary School, Marbel 3 Elementary School, Esimos Cataluna Elementary School, Marbel 5 Central Elementary School, Manuel Dondiego Elementary School, Mangga Elementary School, Marbel 4 Elementary School, Carpenter Hill Elementary School.

The Office of Civil Defense of Region 12 also declared suspension of work in all 11 local government units of Sultan Kudarat province from April 1 to 15, 2024 amid the heat index.

Suspensions due to power interruption

Several local government units in Tarlac announced a suspension of classes following the announcement of the Tarlac Electric Cooperative Inc. 1 of a power interruption on April 3, 2024 from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. for maintenance work.

Classes are suspended in the following areas:

  • Mayantoc, Tarlac: classes suspended at all levels (public and private)
  • Gerona, Tarlac: classes and work in schools suspended at all levels (public and private)
  • La Paz, Tarlac: classes suspended at all levels (public and private)
  • Bamban, Tarlac: classes suspended at all levels (public and private)
  • Sta. Ignacia, Tarlac: classes suspended at all levels (public and private)
  • Camiling, Tarlac: classes suspended at all levels (public and private)
  • Capas, Tarlac: classes suspended at all levels (public and private), shift to modular distance learning
  • Paniqui, Tarlac: classes suspended at all levels (public and private)
