Classes have been suspended in some areas on Thursday, February 5, 2026, due to inclement weather from Tropical Depression Basyang.
Below are the class suspensions for Thursday, February 5, 2026:
Region VII (Central Visayas):
Bohol: no classes, all levels, public and private until Friday, February 6; shift to alternative learning modalities for college and graduate school levels
Cebu:
- Cebu City: no face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private, shift to alternative learning modalities
Region XVIII (Eastern Visayas)
- Tacloban City: no classes, all levels, public and private
Region X (Northern Mindanao):
Misamis Oriental:
- Cagayan de Oro City: no face-to-face classes, pre-school to senior high school, public and private until Friday, February 6
Lanao del Norte:
- Iligan City: no classes, all levels, public and private until Friday, February 6
Region XIII (Caraga)
Agusan del Norte:
- Butuan City: no classes, all levels, public and private
Surigao del Sur:
- Hinatuan: no classes, all levels, public and private
Region XVIII (Negros Island Region):
Negros Oriental: no classes, all levels, public and private until Friday, February 6
- Bais City: no classes, all levels, public and private until Friday, February 6
- Tanjay City: no classes, all levels, public and private until Friday, February 6
- Siquijor: no classes, public and private, starting afternoon of Thursday, February 5
Negros Occidental:
- Hinigaran: no classes, all levels, public and private until Friday, February 6
