Bianca King, Rayver Cruz to star in upcoming episode of 'Magpakailanman'

Bianca King and Rayver Cruz are set to star in an upcoming episode of "Magpakailanman" titled "My Online Gambler Husband."

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Thursday, this is also the first time the two stars worked with each other.

"She's super kind, and as usual, she's still excellent and beautiful. Our episode turned out great," said Rayver in a mix of Filipino and English.

Per Bianca, her approach to this episode is different from her last "Magpakailanman" episode where she had to undergo an acting workshop with a coach.

"That was my first heavy drama after five years, but in this one, I can't say that I've had a lot of practice, but I have more confidence now," she said in a mix of Filipino and English.

Rayver will star as Obet, a loving husband and father whose relationship with his family becomes strained when he becomes addicted to online gambling. Bianca will play his wife, Michelle.

Bianca shared that the role moved her and is close to her heart, as she is both a spouse and a mother.

"I can't help but be deeply moved right from the first read, because I relate to the challenges of being a wife and a mother," she said.

Meanwhile, Rayver said that he carefully studied the story, noting that many will relate to it.

"Hopefully, after watching, they will take away a valuable lesson," he said.
