Sugar Mercado to portray herself in own 'Magpakailanman' life story

Sugar Mercado is set to portray herself in an upcoming episode of "Magpakailanman" based on her own life story.

According to Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" Thursday, the episode will follow the highs and lows of Sugar's life and career in the entertainment industry.

"Ang dami ko palang napagdaanan na hirap, parang lahat 'yun tapos andito ako ngayon," the SexBomb Girls member said.

"'Yung binalikan mo — ate ko nga andun kasama ko kung saan ako lumaki, sa kural, sa babuyan. Nanonood siya ng bawat eksena. Naiiyak siya, 'naalala ko yung bahay natin na hindi tayo mayaman pero sakto lahat.""

Sugar's co-star in the episode, Ahron Villena, also expressed his admiration for her and underscored the importance of being steadfast in one's faith amid life's struggles.

"God is good all the time naman, so kahit na anong problema o pagsubok na dumating sa 'yo talaga, as long as you believe in God at talagng nananalig ka sa Kaniya, I think talaga ako naniniwala ako sa prayers din," he said.

In Canlas' report, Sugar also shared that she did not expect to be part of the international leg of the SexBomb Girls' world tour. She likewise expressed her love for her fellow SexBomb Girls.

"Hindi ko 'yun in-expect, natuto ako sa buhay na hindi ako mag-e-expect. Ang maganda lang sa'min, dahil tumatanda na rin, nagiging malawak na rin 'yung pang-unawa. Sobrang okay, sa hinaba-haba-haba rin, 'di ba, mapapatunayan din," she said.

"Talagang love na love ko talaga 'yung mga ate ko and I'm so proud. Si Lord lahat 'yun. Dalawang dekada nakabalik kayo."

Recently, the SexBomb Girls dropped a teaser of their new song, "Mama Mama."

The group had reunited for a concert at the Araneta Coliseum last December, but the clamor from fans kept them performing for more shows. They also headed on a world tour, visiting cities in Australia and the United States.

SexBomb leader Rochelle Pangilinan previously teased that they are working on new projects for their fans, including new music and a documentary series.—CDC, GMA News
