Kara David jokes about keeping birthday wish secret 'so it will come true'

Kara David once again amused netizens as her birthday rolled around this year.

On Instagram, the award-winning broadcast journalist shared a video of her team surprising her with a birthday cake and singing "Happy Birthday" to her.

When it was time to make a wish, Kara jokingly said she would keep it to herself since wishes don't come true when shared with other people.

After blowing out her candle, Kara quipped with a laugh, "Para matupad na talaga!"

("So that it will come true!")

Last year, Kara went viral for her birthday wish: “Sana mamatay lahat ng kurakot sa Pilipinas.”

("I wish all the corrupt in the Philippines would die.")

Kara currently hosts the award-winning documentary show "I-Witness," and the infotainment show "Pinas Sarap."

She also has a podcast titled "I-Listen.”
