Dingdong Dantes temporarily signs off from 'Family Feud,' Michael V. to take over hosting duties

Dingdong Dantes is taking a temporary break from hosting “Family Feud.”

The Kapuso Primetime King announced his temporary departure during Wednesday’s episode of the popular game show.

According to Dingdong, he needs to focus on the upcoming taping of “The Master Cutter” and help ensure that the program continues to improve.

“Because of your unwavering support for ‘The Master Cutter’ and because I need to focus on the upcoming taping of the program to make it even better, I will be taking a temporary break from hosting ‘Family Feud,’” Dingdong said in Filipino.

He assured viewers that the show will continue to bring “more tawa at more saya” even in his absence.

For the meantime, Michael V. will take over hosting duties beginning Thursday.

“Don’t worry because the laughter and fun will continue on the world’s happiest family game show. While I’m away from the program, you’ll be joined by one of the Kapuso artists I admire, respect, and love, and whom we all love, Mr. Michael V.,” he said.

“Kuya Bitoy, Idol Bitoy, please take care of the studio for now. Survey says, Michael V. will be joining you every night here on ‘Family Feud.'"

Before signing off, Dingdong assured viewers that his break from the show is only temporary.

“I will be back very soon,” he added.

“Family Feud” airs Monday to Friday, at 5:40 PM on GMA Network.

Meanwhile, “The Master Cutter" airs Mondays to Fridays on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It also streams on Netflix.
