Shuvee Etrata reveals receiving death threats over viral video last year

Shuvee Etrata opened up about one of the most difficult periods of her life, revealing that she received death threats following a viral video last year.

During her Friday guesting on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” with Anthony Constantino, the Nation’s Darling recalled how the backlash went beyond online criticism and left her fearing for her safety.

“That was a very tough part of my life," Shuvee began. "Not just regarding my showbiz career—it wasn’t just that. It felt like people were practically trampling all over me,” Shuvee added in Filipino.

She recalled an incident during a concert of fellow “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 1.0” housemate Klarisse De Guzman when she became afraid to leave the venue after allegedly receiving death threats.

“I remember, during Ate Klang’s concert, I didn’t want to go out because I had received a death threat. Like, ‘I know which car you’re taking when you leave. I’m going to stab you.’ Things like that,” she said.

According to Shuvee, the threats made her fear not only the backlash but also for her life.

“I wasn’t just scared—I feared for my life. How can people be that cruel? That was truly the toughest point in my life. I hit rock bottom, I would say,” she said.

When asked how she managed to overcome the difficult period, Shuvee credited her family, God, and Anthony for helping her through it.

“It was difficult, Tito Boy. I didn’t think I could handle it, but with the help of God, with the help of my family, my core—my core support.”

She also thanked Anthony for being there for her during the difficult time.

“Anthony, I wanna say thank you as well. You really helped me a lot,” she said.

Despite the backlash and threats, Shuvee said she found strength in the people who continued to support and love her.

“The people who love me are there. There are actually more of them,” she said.

During the guesting, Shuvee and Anthony talked about a variety of things, with Shuvee sharing meeting Anthony's family during a trip to LA.
