Jillian Ward admitted that she experienced burnout, which explains why she took a break from showbiz.

According to Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras” on Wednesday, the actress took a few months off to focus on rest.

“I needed that rest, like mental health rest and time for myself, as well, I really focused on the gym,” Jillian said in a mix of Filipino and English.

“I’m more ready this time because I have self-reflected, I have rested. So here I am back with a vengeance,” she added with a laugh.

With Jillian’s return, she is set to work with Marian Rivera in the Prime Video original series, “Behind Closed Doors.” Jillian shared that she and Marian last worked together on “Super Ma’am” in 2017.

“It’s like our reunion. It’s my first time to work with her again as an adult, I’m older now. I’m excited, I’m excited for all the wisdom I’ll get from her,” she said.

“I’m so grateful that I’m 21 and we get to work together again. It’s like I can work with her again now that I have an understanding of life."

Jillian teased that her character will show her fearless side instead of the sweet roles audiences have grown used to.

“I think, this is one of the most challenging roles I will do. My roles before were very sweet, very demure, quiet. Here, my character is very straightforward, a little more rebellious.”

Jillian also said her first-ever concert on December 8 will push through, and she is glad to have had more time to rehearse.

Jillian recently served as a judge for “The Clash Teens” with Christian Bautista and BGYO's JL Toreliza.

This year, she released the singles “Pumapag-ibig” and “Lowkey.”
