Sparkle issues statement of support for Alden Richards
Amid the currently controversies being thrown at Alden Richards, his talent agency Sparkle Artist Center has released a statement of support for the Kapuso actor.
On social media Monday afternoon, Sparkle wrote a short open letter addressed to Alden that began with "We know your heart."
"We believe in you, and we stand firmly behind you," the note said.
It was signed by Alden's entire Sparkle family.
The statement of support from Sparkle comes as celebrities including AiAi delas Alas, Kuya Kim, and Betong Sumaya also took social media to share stories of Alden's generosity and kindness.
“Very playful, generous, kind, sensitive to needs of others in the industry, especially to his friends,” the Philippines’ Comedy Queen said in Filipino.
Kuya Kim Atienza posted a short but impactful message on Threads recalling how Alden made a significant contribution to a donation drive Kuya Kim organized for a friend dying of cancer.
"Alden donated 1M selflessly with no need for acknowledgement," Kuya Kim said.
For his part, Jerald Napoles said, “Not every act of kindness is seen by the world. Not every good deed is remembered by people. And not every heart is understood by those who judge it" as he voiced support for his friend.
Rumors about luxury watches being alleged unreturned and a condo that has yet to be vacated started circulating online Sunday, Alden was at the Hero for All 2026 awarding ceremony where he said, "if there's one thing I'm proud of, sabihin ninyo nang mayabang ako, pero alam ko at the end of the day, I am a good person."
"No one can take that away, and I'm sure gusto ko ganun din yung maging mindset ng mga heroes natin na you can be proud to tell the world that you're a good person,” Alden added.
