Freddie Aguilar at 16-anyos na nobya, pinayuhan ng arsobispo na ipagdasal ang kanilang relasyon

Dahil matatawag na hindi ordinaryo ang kanilang relasyon, pinayuhan ng isang retiradong arsobispo ang legendary folk singer na si Freddie Aguilar at ang menor de edad nitong kasintahan na ipagdasal ang kanilang pagmamahalan. Ayon kay Archbishop Emeritus Oscar Cruz, kakailanganin nina Freddie at nobya nito ang lahat ng tulong para magtagumpay ang kanilang pagsasama. “They have to be really prayerful about it. They cannot afford not to pray about this matter because this is not something ordinary. Knowing really that the age difference carries also maturity differences and consequently a lot of special help is needed here,” paliwanag ni Cruz, pinuno ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines-National Appellate Matrimonial Tribunal (CBCP-NAMT). Basahin: Maegan Aguilar, ipinagtanggol ang ama na si Freddie Aguilar   Nilinaw din ng arsobispo na bagaman tinatanggap niya ang katotohanan, hindi naman niya sinusuportahan ang naturang relasyon ng 60-anyos na si Freddie at 16-anyos na babae.   Gayunpaman, sinabi ni Cruz na ang relasyon ng dalawa ay patunay na walang pinipiling edad ang pag-ibig.   Dagdag pa niya, hindi rin basehan na kung kapwa nasa hustong edad ang lalaki at babae ay magtatagal na ang kanilang pagsasama.   “Mayroon akong isang kaso, they were both 34 years old, umalis lang,  nag-honeymoon and when they came back they separated," kwento ng arsobispo.   " It’s not something that happens daily but what I am saying is its not necessarily true that if your both old everything is okey. That’s why they need to be very prayerful in this regard because they really need a lot of divine guidance,”  dagdag ni Cruz.
