Richard Gutierrez, nais makagawa ng indie film

Inihayag ni Richard Gutierrez ang hangarin nitong makagawa ng indie movie at sarili niyang mga pelikula sa hinaharap.

"I've always wanted to get into the indie scene. Given the opportunity, a good script, working with those young, creative directors, why not?" saad ni Richard sa isang press conference para sa bago niyang pelikulang "Overtime" nitong Miyerkules.

Dagdag nito, "I'm excited to be able to get into that scene, support that scene. It's just that I've never had the opportunity. Maybe in the future I'll have that opportunity."



Bukod sa paggawa ng mga pelikula, plano rin ng aktor na gumawa ng video blogging site. Naisip niya raw ito nang bumisita siya at ang kapatid na si Raymond sa isang digital convention sa Singapore.

"The movement towards internet is massive. The advertisers are now flocking to the internet. There's definitely an avenue for that," saad ng aktor.

Sabi pa ni Richard, hindi niya muna prayoridad ang magrenew ng kotrata dahil masaya siya sa kaniyang sitwasyon ngayon.

"Personally, right now I just wanna be free. I don't wanna be tied up with any contracts. I've been under contract half of my life. Gusto ko munang magpahinga from contracts. I just wanna be able to work, choose which project I wanna spend time on," paliwanag niya.

Napag-alaman naman na hanggang Setyembre pa ang kontrata ni Richard sa GMA Films na siyang producer ng "Overtime." Mayroon na raw ilang scripts na nakalinya para sa kaniyang gagawing proyekto.

"I think they're trying to create a different kind of romantic love story na drama pero in a different way of storytelling. It's also exciting for me baka nga si Sarah ang makasama ko," pahayag ni Richard.

Pero kahit matatapos na ang kontrata niya sa GMA Films, sinabi ni Richard na gusto pa rin niyang gumawa ng mga pelikula sa ilalim ng produksiyon.

"The craft of creating movies, talagang mararamdaman mo andun yung passion ng buong grupo. Shot for shot, scene per scene, talagang the way you create movies is totally different from the way you create TV shows here in Manila," ayon sa aktor. -- RTakumi/FRJ, GMA News
