What Heart said before about Chiz proposing: 'Formality na lang yun'

It was a touching scene on Saturday night when Sen. Chiz Escudero got down on one knee to propose marriage to girlfriend Heart Evangelista.

The moment was full of drama for something the actress once described as a "formality."

Last month, amid speculation that the senator had proposed during their recent European holiday, Heart admitted in "Startalk" that they had indeed discussed marriage.

"Hindi na siya kailangang mag-propose. Formality na lang 'yun," Heart told her co-hosts in the Saturday afternoon showbiz news program.

In the same interview, Heart expressed concerned about how such plans would be received by her parents.

"There's a very sensitive side about my parents, so it's something that we're very careful about. We do plan our lives together but it's something that we wanna plan carefully and we have to consider other people," she said.

"It's something that we will plan and we will definitely talk about someday but just not yet. Wait lang," she added. — JST, GMA News
