Derek's camp slams Mary Christine's new case as harassment

Naghain ng panibagong reklamong concubinage si Mary Christine Jolly laban sa asawang si Derek Ramsay at ang dating karelasyon ng aktor na si Angelica Panganiban sa Parañaque City Prosecutor's Office nitong Miyerkules. 

 

Kaugnay nito, iginiit ng kampo ni Ramsay na isa na naman itong paraan ni Mary Christine upang ma-harass ang aktor at mapagbigyan ang mga gusto niya.

 

"This move is but another ploy to harass Derek to give in to her demands, since she failed in the VAWC case. It is also a continuing effort to try Derek by publicity. It is so unfortunate though that she had to drag Angel into her witch hunt."

 

Matatandaang nitong Hunyo, nagsampa si Jolly ng kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9262 o Violence Against Women and Their Children Act laban kay Derek. Kaugnay nito, hinihingi ni Mary Christine ang P42 million na halaga para sa "damages for spouse" at "child support."

Ayon sa ulat ni Nelson Canlas, gagamitin ni Jolly ang interview ni Angelica sa StarStudio magazine noong April 2013, kung saan inamin ng aktres ang relasyon at pagsasama nila ni Ramsay.
 

 

“I just got a hold of this article recently, and that's why I filed, because otherwise I didn't really have concrete proof,” ani Jolly.

 

Nakasaad sa artikulo kung paano napagdesisyunan ng aktres na manirahan sa isang bahay kasama si Ramsay.

 

"On the second year of their relationship [...] Derek suggested to Angelica that they live together in one house and transform their relationship into a setup just like that of a husband and wife.

 

"The idea was not something Angelica immediately embraced with open arms. It should be recalled that before this, all she knew of love as the adolescent kind. But since she was drunk with love, she closed her eyes and agreed to the arrangement. 'Gagawin ko lahat, 'wag mo lang akong hiwalayan,' was her running thought."

 

Sa ilalim ng Article 334 ng Revised Penal Code, “[concubinage can be filed against a husband] who shall keep a mistress in the conjugal dwelling, or shall have sexual intercourse, under scandalous circumstances, with a woman who is not his wife, or shall cohabit with her in any other place."

 

Bukod dito, kinakailangan ding alam ng babae na kasal ang lalaki. Sa oras na mapatunayan ang pagkakasala, maaaring makulong ang lalaki ng anim na buwan hanggang anim na taon, habang ang babae naman ay hindi papayagang makalapit ng 25 kilometers mula sa lalaki sa loob ng naitakdang panahon. — Bianca Rose Dabu/JST, GMA News
