Ai-Ai denies beef with Kris Aquino reason for move to GMA

Ai-Ai de las Alas has returned to GMA-7, finalizing her two-year contract with the network on Thursday.

The comedienne stated that it was her personal priorities that finally pushed her to transfer, a move that she pondered for some time.

"Gusto kong happy lang," de las Alas said. "Trabaho lang to, so let's all move on."

De las Alas denied rumors that Kris Aquino was the reason she left. The tension between the two allegedly began with Kris' absence when Ai-Ai was grieving the death of her biological mother.

But the two women made peace last December at the wedding of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera.

"Nagbati na kami, so okay na yun," Ai-Ai insisted.

However, Ai-Ai said that she wouldn't go as far as to say that they were back to being friends.

But she admits that not everyone was pleased by her move. The actress expressed her understanding of those upset by the move. "Ganun naman talaga," she said. "Meron talaga silang sasabihin."

Despite the negative rumors and comments directed toward the actress, Ai-Ai said that she was at her happiest, sharing that her new motto is "Positivity."

"I will love myself first," she declared. She explained that she only wished to be happy, and that she was glad that she made people happy by moving to GMA. "Dapat masaya tayong lahat."
