After winning Asia's Got Talent, El Gamma Penumbra eyes corporate gigs in PHL, abroad

Grand champion El Gamma Penumbra is not resting on its laurels after its success in the recently-concluded Asia's Got Talent competition.

The group is hoping to book more corporate gigs after getting the exposure, with its members planning to dedicate more time and effort to improving their act.

"Hopefully ang next po sa 'min ay mga corporate events sa Pilipinas and sa abroad," said a member of the group in a press conference on Thursday.

"Halos naman lahat college graduate," he added, noting how everyone can now focus on dancing.

While the group started out as a hiphop outfit, El Gamma Penumbra said it won't veer away from its shadowplay performances that won it acclaim throughout the continent.

"We were hiphop dancers before, back in college," a member explained. "So we started from scratch."

The transition from hiphop to shadowplay was rough, and the group spent 22 hours rehearsing and brainstorming, and only 2 on sleeping.

The other Filipino finalists in the competition -- Gerphil Flores, Gwyneth Dorado, and Junior New System -- have all decided to finish their studies before pursuing respective careers in performing arts. -- JST, GMA News
