Lea Salonga praises Rachelle Ann Go for ‘Les Mis Manila’ performance
Award-winning artist Rachelle Ann Go is in the cast of "Les Miserables" as Fantine in the legendary musical's run in Manila, which started March 15 at The Theater in Solaire in Parañaque City.
After getting rave reviews for her performance in the West End, Rachelle Ann has also been receiving praises in Manila.
No less than veteran Broadway performer and stage superstar Lea Salonga said that she was impressed with the "Les Miserables" run in Manila.
Salonga also expressed pride for Rachelle Ann.
Les Miz can still make me cry, but only when a great cast is assembled, and the one in Manila right now is wonderful. Congrats, all!

Rachelle Ann, who starred as Gigi Van Trahn in "Miss Saigon" before giving life to Fantine in "Les Miserables," has been following in Lea's footsteps. Lea portrayed Kim on "Miss Saigon" before starring as Eponine in "Les Miserables" in 1993.
Aside from Lea, Kapuso actress Camille Prats also revealed that the show made her cry.
"Dream come true to finally have watched #LesMiserables ?? @gorachelleann was amazing. Cried both times she sang 'I Dreamed A Dream,' she said.

Set against the backdrop of 19th century revolutionary France, “Les Miserables” is considered as one of the most phenomenal blockbuster musical, seen by over 70 million people worldwide in 44 countries and in 22 languages.
Cameron Mackintosh's production of the award-winning musical will play in Manila until April 24. — APG, GMA News
