Dawn Zulueta's daughter almost kidnapped by unknown men

Unidentified men attempted to kidnap the daughter of Kapuso star Dawn Zulueta and Davao del Norte Rep. Antonio Lagdameo after days of surveillance and threats were made to every member of their family.

Rudolph Jurado, Lagdameo's legal counsel, told John Consulta on 24 Oras that the attempted kidnapping took place outside their daughter's school in Makati City on Wednesday.

"Mabuti na lang may kasama yung bata. Hindi naman security detail dahil wala namang security details, kasama lang ng bata. Naunahan lang, nahawi yung lalaki tsaka tumakbo na yung lalaki," Jurado said.

Prior to the incident, unidentified men riding a Toyota Innova have been spotted taking pictures of their child and were seen asking for Zulueta's schedule during a shooting in Laguna.

"These people should stop doing this threat. And if they think na meron silang other plans, bigger plans against the congressman, siguro magisip-isip din sila. May mga consequences 'yan," Jurado said.

The threats began as ominous text messages to Lagdameo on May 26 and to his staff on May 27. 

Lagdameo dismissed the text messages, which claimed that they were watching his every movement, as election-related threats.

The couple forwarded the incidents to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for investigation and declined to give a statement to GMA News. — APG, GMA News
