Mocha Uson: OK to bash, but why slut-shame me?

While she maintains that she's unaffected by the bashing she receives in social media, singer-dancer Mocha Uson wants netizens to stop making personal attacks against her.

"Inuungkat yung nakaraan ko. Pinapakita yung mga hubad kong larawan na lumabas po sa mga magazine," Uson said in an interview on Friday.

"Kasi parang slut-shaming daw, sabi ng tao. Misogynistic ang dating," Uson added.

Uson said she preferred it if the arguments remained on relevant opinions and not her past.

"OK lang naman na mangbash sila. Sana naman wag nilang tirahin yung pagkatao, or nakaraan ng mga Duterte supporters na katulad ko. Sana po ang pag-usapan dito yung argument o opinion ng tao," Uson said.

Fans of Uson, an influential online supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte, have been crying foul over the attacks, saying that they were a form a slut-shaming. Uson, who used to pose nude for magazines and appear in sexy films, stressed that she is a changed woman.

She also clarified that she never entered prostitution, despite what critics say.

Uson also took a jab at Senator Leila De Lima, a vocal critic of Duterte who is also experiencing attacks on her personal and romantic life.

"Maraming nagtatawag sa akin na pokpok. Hindi naman totoo, so hindi ako naghi-hysterical, hindi tulad ni De Lima. Hindi ako nagwalk-out," she said. —JST, GMA News
