GMA-7 official on Kris Aquino: Not true that she's not welcome

Itinanggi ni GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment TV Lilybeth G. Rasonable ang mga usap-usapang hindi welcome sa GMA Network ang batikang host-actress at Queen of All Media na si Kris Aquino.

Kasalukuyang nasa pangangalaga si Kris ng APT Entertainment at TAPE Inc., na kilala ng marami bilang producer ng longest-running noontime show na "Eat Bulaga!"

Ayon kay Rasonable, hindi pa napag-uusapan ang mga proyekto ni Kris sa hinaharap, ngunit hindi ibig sabihin nito na sarado ang pinto ng Kapuso Network sa kaniya.

"Wala talaga kaming alam kasi iba ang nagma-manage sa kaniya. It is not true that she is not welcome. I've read the write-ups about it and it was very vague who or which group they were referring to. People on social media were just guessing that it was an executive or whatnot," paliwanag ng GMA executive.

Dagdag pa niya, "Pero sa totoo lang, never did we talk about it nor did we ever say na hindi siya welcome. In fact, we even guested her sa 'Yan Ang Morning.' If she were not welcome, she would not have guested in the first place."

Bukas rin daw ang pinto ng GMA sakaling nais ni Kris na maging isang blocktimer.

"Entertainment TV does not take care of blocktimers, but as far as I know, when you're a blocktimer, you propose a concept, and if it is approved and there's a timeslot, then okay," paliwanag ni Rasonable.

Dagdag pa niya, "It's not because you're Kris Aquino, you can or cannot come in. Whoever the blocktimer is who wants to propose a concept or a program will go through the same process that everybody goes through when proposing a project to GMA."

Maliban sa kaniyang mga negosyo, abala rin ngayon si Kris sa iba't ibang online features na mapapanood sa kaniyang official Facebook page, pati na sa iba pa niyang showbiz commitments. —JST, GMA News
