Dianne Medina slams 'fake friends' who bash cousin Maxine Medina

Actress Dianne Medina took to Facebook to lash out at bashers of her cousin, Miss Universe-Philippines Maxine Medina.

"For all of my insensitive friends here in Facebook who still share, like, make comments and say negative things about my cousin, you will be deleted/blocked! If some of you are wondering why we aren't friend anymore and you don't have access to my account, it's because I already unfriended you," she wrote in a Facebook post.

"Don't mess with my cousin, dadaan muna kayo samin," she added.

Social media users have criticized Medina for her English and her communication skills over a video during her send-off press conference, in which she was asked about her advocacy.

Medina's mentor Mark Abalos came to her defense and addressed negative criticisms in his instagram post.

Abalos said that Medina has improved a lot and she's working to become a better version of herself.

"Please stop comparing her communication skills to previous representatives and candidates. We are second language speakers of English. Errors are normal. Even first language speakers of English commit mistakes, too," he said. —Marlly Rome C. Bondoc/JST, GMA News
