Annabelle Rama says Maxine should've used interpreter to answer
Annabelle Rama was her usual candid self when talking about Philippines bet Maxine Medina in the Miss Universe competition on Monday.
Known for not mincing words, the actress and talent manager said Medina should have made use of her interpreter during the question and answer portion. Rama was on hand for the Miss Universe grand coronation event at Mall of Asia Arena.
"Kasi mali siya eh. Nag-interpreter tapos hindi naman niya ginamit. Nag-Ingles-Ingles siya mali-mali pa," said Rama, the mother of former Miss Philippines-World Ruffa Gutierrez.
"Kung ako nakasali dyan, Bisayain ko lahat sila," she added.
Medina became the first Filipino beauty queen to make use of an interpreter in the competition after making it to the final six. But while the question was translated for her, she still chose to answer her question in English.
She failed to make it to the top three, ending her bid to become a back-to-back winner for the Philippines after Pia Wurtzbach. —JST, GMA News
