Jake Cuenca hurt in biking accident at MOA

Actor Jake Cuenca was hurt after after figuring in an accident while riding a bicycle in Pasay City on Tuesday morning.

A radio dzBB report said Cuenca was riding his bicycle at the Mall Of Asia grounds when the accident happened.

The actor has been discharged from the hospital and scheduled for surgery on Friday.

In a statement, sent to the media by Thess Gubi of Star Magic, Cuenca's mother said the accident happened when the truck in front of the actor stopped.

"Early this morning Jake was training in MOA he was biking when the truck in front stopped. He was not able to brake in time," Cuenca's mother said.

She said her son suffered a wound under his chin, which had been stitched, and had fractures in the right hand.

It was not clear if charges were filed regarding the accident. —ALG, GMA News
